KVK Anjaw Conducted training programme on production and weed management in soybean at Tafraliang.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Anjaw conducted 1 days training programme on production and weed management in soybean at Tafraliang on 19th June 2019. Altogether 25 farmers and farm women participated in the training programme. Mr. Khoisnam Naveen, Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) spoke in detailed about production of soybean and its integrated weed management. He aware the farmers about the importance of controlling weeds as they are one of the major causes for reduction in crop yield and also acts as an host for pest and diseases. He also stressed on integrated weed management approach as the most efficient way of weed controls in order to manage wide range of weed where single method may not be effective and economical. Soybean seeds dsb-19 were distributed to farmers present at the training programme. Later on farmers field vists were also conducted.
